In response to the rapid developments on Coronavirus (COVID-19) and following an announcement from Summit County Public Health, Summit County and the Town of Breckenridge, all Breckenridge Music programs will be suspended through May 1 due to public health concerns and government-sponsored venue restrictions.
Specifically, the Steel Betty performance on March 27, 2020 at the Hughes Home has been postponed. As we do not have a rescheduled date in place at this time, we ask that you hold on to your tickets until further notice. If you can’t make the new date or if the show must be cancelled, we will offer a full refund at the point of purchase. In lieu of a refund, please consider donating your unused tickets, which helps offset the financial cost to our nonprofit operations at Breck Music through this difficult time. You will hear from us in the coming weeks about the possible reschedule.
Our first priority is to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and support the health and safety of our patrons, artists, staff, volunteers and local community, and the global population affected by this pandemic. We will miss the opportunity to connect our community through music over the coming weeks and look forward to coming together again during more peaceful times.
The hip, virtuosic trio, Steel Betty, lives at the crossroads of what makes Austin, Texas the engine driving traditional music in America. Flavors of bluegrass, folk, blues, Tex-Mex, Old Time music and classic country, are a fresh reflection of today’s American music scene. Steel Betty brings this lively music out of Texas and to a spectacular Breckenridge home as a unique spin on a Festival champagne chamber concert experience. Steel Betty’s lively performance is paired with hors d’oeuvres and champagne followed by dessert, and the chance to meet the performers in person.
Steel Betty is Breck Music Education artist-in-residence at Summit Middle School. Proceeds from this performance benefit Breck Music Education programs.

Cristine and her husband, Jason, have always loved traveling to Colorado and decided to purchase a second home in Breckenridge in 2012. They have been living in Breckenridge part time since then and have become very familiar with the area and all that Summit County has to offer. This said, they made a full time move in 2018 and are thrilled with their new community and lifestyle. Summit County is truly an amazing place to live and work!
