In-School Programs
Breckenridge Music’s Education program, Music in the Schools, offers students in Summit, Lake, and Park County classical and traditional performing arts experiences to expand and enrich the arts curriculum in the schools. Music in the Schools works to support arts education as a critical component of education excellence for children pre-K through 12.

Age-Appropriate Approach
preschool
Through a partnership with Blue Sky Music, Pre-K students in four Summit County preschools engage in a 10-week program learning music fundamentals through fun and play, contributing to students’ cognitive, language, and physical growth.
Elementary School
Regional elementary schools are provided with school-wide assembly performances and related workshop sessions during the school year. Jazz, opera, dance, and many other performing arts experiences are represented in these assemblies.
Middle School
In partnership with middle school teachers, Breck Music curates programming that provides age-appropriate assemblies, workshops with professional musicians, individualized training for high-achieving music students and free ticket vouchers to Breck Music concerts.
high school
Breckenridge Music works closely with high school teachers to align opportunities for students with classroom goals. Students have the opportunity to participate in workshops and learn from national touring artists across many musical genres as well as visiting musicians from the Festival Chamber Orchestra. Breck Music also provides performance opportunities for students before its concerts and events.

Breck Music provides any interested student, K through 12, and an accompanying adult with a free ticket to classical orchestra and chamber music concerts. Restrictions may apply.
